PAPPA BEAR was born in Colorado an his real name is June Rollocks. He´s the man behind the early 90´s hit "Pump Up The Jam" with Technotronic, remember? After producing some songs for Daisy Dee in the early and mid 90's, he also was in a group called Black Male. They released three singles.

In late 1997, he released his first solo single "Cherish" together with the singer Jan van Der Toorn. The song was produces by the Booya Music producers Bullent Aris & Toni Cottura. Pappa´s first act in a video was in Nana´s remix of "Let It Rain", but his first really big hit was with "Cherish". It hit the charts all over the world and was a mega-hit. Then came another single, "When The Rain Begins To Fall" and that one was almost as big as "Cherish". And bacause of these two hits Pappa Bear became a strong name in the European rap game. So he finally released his first album "What´s My Name?" in July,1998.

This was Pappa Bearīs first album and he really showes what a great rapper he is. There are really great songs on the album. Not only the wonderful "Cherish" or "When The Rain Begins To Fall", but some really good tunes like "Honey Luv", "I Thank U" and "Hip Hop You Donīt Stop". One of the best songs on this album is "D.I.S.C.O.", which features NANA, Jonestown and Daisy D and it is really great.

The third single from the "What´s my name" album was "Honey Luv", and it also was a hit. The singer of the most Pappa Bear-songs is Jan Vad Der Toorn, who also sings for Nana and Toni Cottura.

In the year 2000, the second album should have been released, but it never happened, because the Booya Famiyl splitted up. But, we here on T-Music got a promo version of that album, which contains 7 brand new tracks. This should probably be an even better album, then the first one. All of the song have something special. The songs are:

1. Why 4:15 2. Sometimes 4:25 3. Every Thing 4:13 4. Don't Live (In Vain) 3:40 5. He-Yo 3.07 6. Spanish Fly 3:40 7. Wonderful Life 3:57

The song "Wonderful Life" was for sure planned to be the first single of that album, because that song has got it all. It is a typical Pappa/Jan song with a great rap, sound and a wonderful chorus and bridge. That one is our favourite of the album. Then there is the "Let ir rain"-inspired "Sometimes" that is a great track as well. "Why" is tha same song as Pappa and Jan released in 2002 as Locreo, but with more rap from Pappa. "Don't Live in Vain" is a nice mellow track. "Every Thing" makes you happy immediately and the spanish influenced "Spanish fly" is a nice one to. Then, the big surprise of the album is the fat track "Hey yo", that can be alike as "DISCO" from the first album, because it is so different from the other songs. "Hey yo" is a pumpin track with Pappa, Jan and the german rapper/singer Manuell, who nowadays is touring with the Darkman Nana.

Then it took some time, but Pappa Bear released a song together with some germanopera singers, "With Open Arms ( The Euro World Song)" in the summer of 2002.
At the end of 2002, Pappa Bear teemed up with Jan Van Der Toorn, to release the song "Why oh why". This release was under the name Locreo, and on the b-side on this single, you could also find the song "Strange Lady".

In 2005, he recorded a song called "Easy (2 Luv)" with Ebon-E, the singer from RMX Crew. We got a snippet on the forum, and everybody was excited about Pappa Bear's comeback... but nothing was released.

Finally, in 2009, the Bear is getting ready for a comeback. You can hear the first song "Can I Please", on the T-Music forum already!!
